About Natasha

Hello! I’m Natasha Khan Kazi—an author, illustrator, maker, and art educator.
I began writing and illustrating children’s books to fill a gap for my kids. What started as a personal need has become the greatest privilege of my career: connecting with children and communities everywhere through stories and art. My work is rooted in empathy, diversity, and childhood joy.
I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and grew up in Chittagong, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Today, I’m based in sunny Southern California, where I continue creating books for young readers.
